I am an economic consultant & financial blogger. I gained my expertise through home schooling (mainly from my mother because she is a qualified doctor & fluent in English) & assisting my parents - Major [r] Zahid Qamar & Doctor Walia Waiza Agha - with their financial & legal responsibilities (this mostly entailed doing legal & financial research on little-known rules & precedents & gathering valuable public record information on opponents & competitors). In addition, my entire childhood was spent travelling (because my father is ex-Army & has been posted to all 4 corners of Pakistan during his career) which served to foster a stronger-than-average understanding of the monetary value of different perspectives.
Between January & February 2014, I spent about a month preparing an analysis of the planned Oil & Gas Development Company Limited privatization plan for the Privatization Commission of Pakistan. The OGDCL privatization process hit many administrative roadblocks in the months that followed. But the steps I suggested in my OGDCL research paper preceded a worldwide re-adjustment in oil prices, increasing affordability in the energy market for Developing World nations, because I based my suggestions on assessing OGDCL's position, not only from its status as a cash cow, but also as an institution that is important to national security.
